Kidist graduated in communication and journalism and tourism marketing. She is a travel enthusiast and had been all over the country taking tourists to the historical, cultural, and trekking sites. She also works at Ethiopian tour operators association in key positions which makes her expertise more relevant.
Habtamu grew up in one of the villages on the peninsula on Lake Tana and knew the area very well. His father was a priest so he had a deep understanding of the Orthodox church and the symbolism used in the monasteries. He has an insider’s understanding of the monasteries and their way of life. He will take you through the mangrove forest on your visit to the peninsula where you will be able to see families harvesting coffee and drying the coffee beans in the sunshine. As he got several family connections he will be glad to invite you to coffee in the forest. There you will taste first hand how lovely Lake Tana coffee is.

Mario, we all call him by his nick name is one of the senior and highly rated guides in Lalibela who is also an enthusiast of the churches. Born and raised in the historic town of Lalibela, he has been working as a tour guide for more than fifteen years. He has been part of extensive trainings in the area of technical and ethical aspect of guiding both in Ethiopia and abroad.
He is able to give an insider’s view of how things worked in the churches and he had an intimate knowledge of the rituals and symbolism in the churches. His English was very good and he is keen for you to understand the importance of the Orthodox church in Ethiopian culture. With him, you will find it to be a very moving experience.
Biniam is the Harer expert, who meets you at Diredawa, the nearest city and airport, and is more than happy to show you everything you need to know about the old walled city - Harer. He speaks great English and as he is from Harar seemed to know everyone in the town. He was very proud of Harar and that everyone of whatever faith seemed to get along well in the town. He had a deep understanding of the Muslim faith, even though he was Orthodox. He will take you to the Spice Market which is also fascinating and gives you tips on who to take photos of. He will also take you to the other main attractions in the city as well the Muslim holy shrine.
Sisay grew up in a village high up in the Simien Mountains where he had an intimate knowledge of the landscape, flora and fauna in the area. He is able to describe in detail how people lived in such an extreme environment as well as how the animals survived.
He is an excellent trekking organizer and great cook who makes your trekking at the Simien mountains a very pleasant one. As the saying goes, a trekker marches on his stomach, Sisay makes this a reality. He lives close to the Simien mountains national park and know the ins and outs of the massif. As long as he involves in your trip, you are in really good and caring hands.
Tedy is the Axum and Tigray expert who enjoys taking visitors to Ethiopia’s ancient civilization and churches that are several centuries old, some over a thousand years. Tedy also enjoys taking visitors hiking to these ancient churches.
Gashaw is an excellent and skillful driver in chaotic streets of Addis and outside of Addis. He is courteous and punctual and loves his job taking visitors wherever the plan is. He has been with us for the past 15 years and hasnever let the team down.
